Dear Chairman Obey:
I, Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, am requesting funding for Wayne State
University for FY 2010. The entity to receive funding for this project is Wayne State University, located at 5057 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48202. The Wayne State University Prisoner Re-Entry Program is a comprehensive program to prevent ex-offenders from returning to a life of crime. Funding will be used to help the ex-offender through vocational, educational, mental health, substance abuse, health and housing placement services. This project is expected to lower recidivism rates 20%. I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial interest in this project.
