Teaching Philosophy
Teaching is an opportunity to allow my students a creative outlet for their lives. With the right balance of structure and creative freedom, my students enjoy fun classes with a teacher that truly supports them. I create a safe, relaxed environment in my classroom, allowing students to look forward to their time there and to explore freely the way that they think and feel about what we do in the class. I believe that art class can stimulate the imagination, develop self-esteem and encourage openness towards the opinions of others. Art offers opportunities to students that are not available through other subjects alone. Art can also be connected to every subject in a schools curriculum. Cross -curricular education is a constant goal in my classroom.
