Definition of मूषा
षा

Ø Musha used to remove doshas from


various metals and minerals.
Ø They are specially for preparing
Bhasmas
Ø For the extraction of satvas from
Dhatus.
Ø i.e. One can eliminates the impurities.

Ø Kumudi- Looks like lotus.


Ø Crounchika- Crouncha bird.

Ø Karhatika- Karahata desh mruttika.
Ø Pachani- Pachan of dravyas.

Horse Dung- 1 part
Method of Preparation-
Ingredients are pounded well to make fine powder.
Give Bhavana till the paste become soft, smooth &
sticky.
Made acc. shape by roasting it in fire.

Use- Satwapatana of shilajita, vimala.

Conclusion:
All texts describe different types of Mushas.
Mushas necessary for various processes like
satvapatana etc.
They can withstand high temperatures.
In modern times the use of traditional Mushas is
declining with the advent of modern crucibles.
