My how summer flies by, but this lacy summer shawl is the perfect accessory to cover bare shoulders on a breezy summer evening. The butterfly and lace motif are accented by a knotted openwork trellis, reminiscent of butterflies happily fluttering through your summer garden.

This shawl is worked by sections with increases made only on the right side rows. This creates a gentle curve for a shallow half round shawl. I recommend using natural plant fiber yarn in a DK or worsted weight, but you may use any DK or worsted weight yarn you wish.
