A sleek, minimalist design that lets the yarn shine! To the discerning eye of a knitter it will be apparent that the shaping is achieved through elegantly placed lifted increases throughout the yoke and then carried down the back. A few short rows are used to make the front sections a touch shorter than the back. Altogether, the result is a simple and wearable cardigan.

It is worked from the top down, entirely seamlessly. The instructions comprise only a few repetitive elements, so it’s easy to find your knitting rhythm. Suitable for a knitter with some experience with top down knitting.

Use any dk or sport weight yarn that gives you the correct gauge and produces a drapey fabric. If made in linen, it will take you through summer; if made in wool or alpaca, it will be equally wearable in cooler months. Sample is shown in Louet Euroflax Sport Weight.

Intended to fit with 0-3½ inches (0-8 cm) of positive ease.

If you are looking for a heavier weight version of the same design, Quick Sand is knit in an Aran to bulky weight yarn at a gauge of 15 sts per 10 cm.
