Ingredients:
● 400g all-purpose flour
● 1 cup 250ml warm milk
● 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
● 2¼tsp or 7g active dry yeast
● 2 tbsp sugar
● 1 large egg
● ½tsp salt
●3 tbsp sugar and ½ tsp cinamon powder for coating
NOTE: Put your dough to rise in a warm place. after shaping the doughnuts, let them rest for another 5 minutes. Cover with sugar and cinnamon when they are warm. Otherwise, the coating will not stick on the doughnuts.

Kkwabaegi 꽈배기 with its crispy exterior and chewy interior dusted in cinnamon sugar, is a beloved sweet treat at Gwangjang Market in Seoul. It is both a quick snack and a link to traditional Korean street food culture, making it a must-try for locals and tourists!

I eat it without fail everytime I visit 🇰🇷 and I often crave it. So I decided to make the sourdough version of this delicious donut twist. If you have eaten this before you would know that it’s NOT your regular donut!

I added glutinous rice flour for extra chew and I’m ecstatic they came out pretty close to the real thing 😍
