Comedies about long-lost twins causing confusion and mayhem have been around for centuries, from stage to screen – right up to those beach-party movies of the ‘60s, where those antics fit right in to any plot featuring Frankie and Annette. And TRP’s production will do just that, bringing Shakespeare’s first comedy to the beach, mixing his slapstick comedy of mistaken identities with bikinis, biceps, and surfer rock music!

Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare. One of Shakespeare's earliest and shortest plays, first performed in 1594, it's his version of slapstick and physical humor. Comedy of Errors has been adapted and performed in a broad range of time periods, geographic settings, and character genders, which may not always amuse stalwart Shakespeare aficionados. Come on, lighten up-- it's a comedy!
