Amelia | Home Decor & DIY on Instagram: "I love vertical Shiplap and I wanted to install it in our back hallway.
NOTE: someone told me that vertical shiplap is board and batten…No! Vertical shiplap is vertical shiplap. Board and batten is something entirely different.

1. Since we have 9 ft ceilings we purchased the 12’ boards and cut to size
2. Working around outlets and
Tricky corners but we finally got it!
3. Horizontal shiplap is easier to install because you are always anchoring it to the studs.
4. Vertical shiplap needs some type of strip to attach your ship lap to for install. Or you can use liquid nails.
5. We opted for this method but the downfall…if you ever want to remove it you will have to replace your drywall

What do you think? I know that I love it.

Let's get something clear... Mr. LMB did most of the work & I just helped.. you know by standing on stools and putting the pieces together once the work of cutting & routing was done by the wood working pro. You know I could do it, but would it be as good as him? Nope. So, anyways. We used an actual shiplap product…
