Hyderabadi Food Series Episode 2: Double ka Meetha 🥧

Ingredients
1 large whole bread loaf (meethay ki bread - preferably 2 days old)
650 g (3.25 cups) sugar
1.5 glass water 
1 tsp Orange food colour
1 tsp cardamom powder
Few saffron strands
650 ml (2.5 cups) milk
300 g khoya
Handful almonds, cashew nuts, pistachio 
Handful raisins
1 tbsp ghee

- Remove the crust from the bread from all sides and cut into thick slices and squares. Place in an open dish and let them dry under the fan for 1 hour
- Meanwhile finely slice the nuts and fry in ghee. Set aside
- Soak the raisins in water
- Mix 150 g khoya with some milk and make a paste. Set aside
