Between asphalt and sand, in this never-ending gallery of the Grand Palais, bare-footed silhouettes amble, protected from the light by wide brimmed hats. It is summer in the city. Desert colors, off-whites, sands and taupes punctuate saffrons and navies. Gold and silver jewels glitter, protecting the wrists and reflecting the sun.
