    Healthcare Industry

The healthcare industry plays an outsized role in the US economy, and in people’s lives. Nixon Peabody understands the regulatory, societal, and political dimensions that impact the industry, and helps clients navigate in this complexity.

    Overview

The healthcare sector comprises 18 percent of the US GDP, employs 1 in 8 Americans, and remains one of the central subjects of our national dialogue. The size of the industry and its significant impact on the most personal aspects of our lives engenders a level of scrutiny and complexity that simply doesn’t exist elsewhere. The space is also rapidly evolving. Advances in digital healthcare, the use of real-time analytics, a greater focus on mental and behavioral health, and calls for equal access to health services for underserved groups are just some of the cultural, societal, and technological forces helping drive this change. Nixon Peabody works with clients in all areas of healthcare, from established hospital systems and academic medical centers to start-up digital health and telemedicine providers. From regulatory compliance and corporate transactions to reimbursement, financing, and litigation matters, we deliver real-time insights and legal guidance to clients across the healthcare continuum when it matters most.
