- Manual namespace is the MediaWiki manual, for system administrators and developers. Help namespace is for users of wikis, and is intended to be imported into wikis. To make reuse easier, all content in the Help namespace is released into the public domain by its authors. See Project:PD Help. We should probably warn people about that before they move pages into that namespace to avoid copyright problems. Undeleting is already covered in the Help namespace, in Help:Sysop deleting and undeleting. Your addition then seems redundant, and discussion of the rights involved is not really useful for a wiki's end users. Reach Out to the Truth 16:31, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

... No wait, I meant to ask for specifically [wiki.linuxquestions.org]
but it took me to this more generic/meta [mediawiki.org]
so I don't know whether I'm even posting this in the right place...?
I mean, I found I was logged out here on [mediawiki.org]
even though I followed what I *thought* was an internal link on [wiki.linuxquestions.org]
But even though it linked me here (ie to [mediawiki.org]),
I found I was logged out here,
and when I went to log in here
I found it was indeed the same username/password as my [en.wikipedia.org]

and yet [wiki.linuxquestions.org]
had let me create a *different* account with the exact same username (and a different password),
but [mediawiki.org]
insisted that I couldn't create a new account with that username.
So yeah, I'm a bit confused.
Did [wiki.linuxquestions.org] *used to* be linked together with mediawiki.org]
in the same way [en.wikipedia.org] still is?

- That's due to a local override of https://wiki.linuxquestions.org/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Loginprompt on that wiki, which its admins need to fix. I can't answer anything else. For future reference Project:Support desk would be a better venue, per the edit notice of this page. * Pppery * it has begun 04:10, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

- so maybe it's just of no practical importance to anyone anymore,
