New album is insane! I can't get enough of So Famous and What's the Move, and bro that last track? Shit pops OFF. If it does end up being his last album, it's a hell of one to go out on.

I don't keep up well with artists I enjoy, so this comment surprised me - is there a reason his newest might be his final album? Has he been talking about retiring? I've not gone out of my way to listen to anything since All You Can Do, so I'm out-of-date.

So he created these past three albums to coincide with each other. He calls it "The Symmetry Series". He released a video before the release of this newest album saying that his name "Watsky" has become more of a personality for his music than it was just being his last name. And with this being the end of the Symmetry Series, he has had thoughts about making it the end of his "Watsky" career along with it. He's said he doesn't want to outright state that it's his last album, because to quote him, "You can smell the marketing if I say that." I highly recommend all of his music, especially since you stopped at All You Can Do, you honestly stopped right before he really started honing his music, in my opinion at least. X Infinity was amazing and is still probably my favorite of his, with the album opening with Tiny Glowing Screens Pt. 3 and closing off with the most insane guest star track I have ever seen, Exquisite Corpse. If you can't tell, I'm a huge fan lol

Yeah, for me, it's just hard to keep up with newer releases, even of artists I like. Most things post-2015 aren't often on my to-do list. That said, I've always been curious as to what his newer music's like, so I imagine I'll pick the albums up at some point. Interesting background on the Symmetry Series, which, as you can imagine, I knew nothing about. Should he retire, it's no doubt that he brought a lot of great music (and spoken word poetry) as a legacy. Definitely appreciate the reply and the information. Many thanks.

Happy to help! Also if you didn't know as well, he wrote a book called "How to Ruin Everything: Essays" which I highly recommend giving a read. He read the audiobook version himself as well. It's just a bunch of short stories from his life, like the time he smuggled a narwhal tusk across the Canadian border for his (or his friend's, I don't remember) grandmother. He's definitely an incredible artist, and I'm excited to find out what else he has in store in the future.

Gotta say I prefer his older stuff, Nothing Like the First Time and Cardboard Castles are his golden age to me. Don't get me wrong, All You Can Do isn't bad by any means but it's not quite my jam. I'm aware it's his music and his artistic choice to go in that direction and it's definitely not due to him going lower in quality but exactly him deciding to make that kind of music in contemporary times but I don't agree with the decision. He is absolutely brilliant in his older music though!
