I think that's most likely about territories/label disputes as I have it on streaming services, maybe for some of the countries they are still figuring it out. I love that album as well (in my rating they all are fantastic by default, it's just that Encyclopedia I like a bit less in comparison to the others)

Oh yes, you are right. I forgot that is not a global issue, as I have asked that question before and people told me they have it available. Anyways… I also think all the albums are pretty enjoyable, and I understand why someone wouldn't like Encyclopedia that much. At the time it came out, it was their most Synth album in comparison to the others, and I feel like is probably the one who influenced most of the rest of Jonny's trajectory, which is a delight. Right now, looking at the reception of the new album, I think Encyclopedia will be more embraced over time.

Yeah, my guess is also that Encyclopedia is the album where Jacob had the biggest influence and (maybe?) the main songwriter. Wild Geese from there is actually a song by Jacob's band Cascading Slopes that they put on The Drums album as well (reworked). Have you heard that album? If not, I really recommend it (and to whoever loves Encyclopedia), titled "Towards A Quaker View Of Synthesizers" it is fantastic and also feels like an alt. universe The Drums LP, very synthy and introspective.

This recent tour has been outstanding, saw him in Boston and met him after the show- talked for over a minute and genuinely such a down to earth and amazing person. Wholeheartedly believe that Jonny will be one of his best albums.

the new album is going to be amazing. jonny is writing about deep personal things (i know that his lyrics are always personal but ‘protect him always’ got me like no lyrics ever got me before. in portamento he wrote ‘book of revelations’ and that’s about his childhood as well but this time it’s much more vulnerable. i fucking love the drums.
