I found a Trapt post on Facebook and wrote a comment deriding them as corporate cookie cutter rock. AND THEY REPLIED!!!

I admit I like a few of their earlier songs, but wow I absolutely despise this lead singer... he is a massive a-hole. I am even shocked that they are even still active after all that. Instead of being remembered for their music they'll instead be remembered for the lead singer's meltdown on twitter. I'd even say that Trapt is the absolute worst of nu-metal/post-grunge.

The latest album is so bad that it's not even half as good as the 2020 release. And that awful sound. It was like a team of amateurs recording in the basement. It's very sad.

I think their music is ok, not much more, but ok. I see a lot of hate about them. They seem to be assholes who said a few no-go-things. I'm not on twitter and I never was interested in them so I don't exactly know what happened. But other rockstars are stupid misbehaving idiots too. Well, most of them are scumbags and assholes, that's what they proof themselves all the time. But why do some bands get hated for their actions and others don't?! I think everyone who harms others belongs to be canceled! No matter how famous or talented or whatever. It's kinda unfair that only Trapt and also Lostprophets get the hate they well deserve but other musicans (especially old classic rock bands) are still treated like heros.

I like Trapt way before the hate/drama bullsh*t, it was terrible but at least that worked as a "publicity stunt" and now they have more listeners than ever so...nothing wrong with them.

I give it another month before these clowns become the official alt-rock band of the alt-right. I listened to their self-titled back in 2003 for a few songs, but now that they've revealed their true colors, I'm relegating them to the crypt of forgotten acts along with 3 Doors Down and Kid Rock. There are too many good people making good music out there to waste our time listening to these guys.

The lead singer is a piece of organic garbage who is trying to be controversial to gain some last hope for relevance. He's personally attacking anyone who might disagree with him on twitter / facebook.

Love this band but I gotta agree with everyone else on the fact that their vocalist (the one running the Twitter) is a total douchebag. Really makes me respect for them especially knowing he dissed Tilian. I still am game to enjoy this band, but let's be real, Dance Gavin Dance is so much more enjoyable to listen to.
