Infrared (2022)
Infrablah!
I've watched many found footage movies over the years. Most are pretty bad, because you have to wait usually for the last 10 minutes for something to happen. But when you wait 90 minutes and nothing happens, thats a disappointment. Boring, boring, boring. Characters are dull. Script is non existent, and there is no tense build-up at all. Why do i need 600 characters to leave a review? Come on IMDB, thats ridiculous, its a movie made on a budget lower that a Dennys breakfast special for seniors. And I'm now rambling on to get to my magic number so i can leave this review to warn you to not waste your time. Im gonna hit that submit button again. Gimme a sec.....
Shark Side of the Moon (2022)
One of the best.....
Most scientifically accurate movie about sharks on the moon ever made!! Can't wait for the sequel next week cuz that's how effort they put into the production. Too bad Finn wasn't there to help.
Office Invasion (2022)
Middle of the road watchable movie.
The idea sounded solid, but the execution was lost somewhere. It's not that it didn't keep me moderately entertained for the run time, but overall after the credits ran I didn't know what type of movie it was. It's not a comedy or horror or action. I'm just not sure how to describe it. Watchable but forgettable.
Cannon Fodder: The Making of Lifeforce (2013)
Lackluster documentary for a blockbuster movie.
As this is only available on the region 2 bluray as an extra feature, we in North America had to find another way to watch it. And where did I find it? On YouTube of all places. So here I am all ready to watch this documentary on one of my favorite movie, and it was a letdown. Many interviews were just dull to listen to. Even Tobe seemed uninterested. Steve and Mathilda were absent, and only 1 actor was interviewed. Should have been better. Very disappointed.
The Reef: Stalked (2022)
Watchable but forgettable
Nothing really new here. Dozens of these type of movies being made every year, so don't complain because of lack of originality if you decided to hit the play button and watch the entire movie just to write a poor review out of boredom. As for all the complaints about the bad cgi. Are you aware on how hard it is to train a shark in acting? Can you do better? If not then quit your criticism. Overall it was watchable.
Resident Evil (2022)
Honestly not that bad, but flawed.
This was better than the Day of the Dead series, but I feel it should have been called Umbrella and not RE. There were elements of RE but not enough to satisfy fans who constantly feel the need to make comparisons when a video game is translated to film. The acting was fine, I think they spend too much time with the younger kids, that story line could have been shortened. The zombie gore was fine and there were humorous elements here and there. If there is a season 2 I will watch it. Give it a chance.
Bull Shark (2022)
Lots of talk, light on shark action.
Well what did you expect from a movie on Tubi called Bull Shark? Oscar winning special effects? Pacino level acting? Don't leave a negative review saying how horribly bad this movie is if you sat through the whole thing. Couldn't have been that bad if you did watch it all. Is it bad? Yes. Is it horrible? No. You get what you pay for, and since it plays on Tubi don't complain.
Farzar (2022)
Roger and Wako have made a dud
I really enjoyed season 1 of Brickleberry and season 2 was OK. Paradise P. D. was just fine, but not as enjoyable as Brickle. Now we have this Mashup. It's not terribly funny, very crude in some places, and not much else. I'll pass on season 2 if there is one.
Assimilate (2019)
Please stop making comparisons to other movies.
People please. Moviemakers have been telling stories for over 100 years. Very few are original I agree nowadays, but it doesn't mean that something old cannot become something new. I liked this movie quite a bit, did it entertain me? Yes it did. I dislike movies that tell me it's a comedy, but I don't laugh. Or an action movie where I'm bored. If you are going to categorize a movie, better make sure it does what you advertise. Give this a chance, and don't compare it just enjoy it. Thanks in advance dwl.
Malnazidos (2020)
One of the better Netflix efforts
Well written characters and dialog make this an entertaining zombie movie. It helps that the English dubbing is wayyy better than most I've sat through before. Worth your time. 8/10.
Saint Maud (2019)
Another slow burn movie from A24
Good thing it only lasted 1hr 15mins, any longer and I would have fallen asleep. The main performances were just fine, but a misleading psynopsis made this a hard watch. Blink and you will miss the "horror". Gave it a 5.
The Orville: A Tale of Two Topas (2022)
FINALLY!!!!!
I've never liked the character Klyden. So glad he is finally off the show. Good riddance. Good episode also. Blah blah 150 characters minimum. New girl is pretty.
Damn he came back.
Day of the Dead (2021)
Unworthy of the title
Next to The Mist and the Stand mini series, this is one awful show. One the plus side the gore is not bad. On the negative the effects are cheese, and the adults are absolute morons. If you have low expectations you may enjoy it. Dave's honest review: meh.
Alien: Covenant (2017)
Dumb people making dumb decisions
Not sure what happened to Mr. Scott, but this nice to look at movie has the stupidest bunch of space colonists this side of seti alpha 5. KHAAAANN!! Bad script kills this movie, unlikable characters and bad decision after bad decision makes this a passable prequel, but not a good one.
The Mutation (2021)
Just not campy enough to be a fun monster movie.
Yea yea, I know. Based on the poster I knew what I was getting into, but I was actually hoping for a cheesier creature feature. But what I got was just a slow, boring but ok acted movie.
Jungle Run (2021)
This is one bad movie people, avoid!
The camerawork made me queasier than an actual boat ride, it was all over the place with unnecessary close ups of faces that had dumb expressions. And some of the cheapest CGI I've seen in a while. I dont expect quality from The Asylum, but i was not entertained.
Asteroid (2021)
Not much of a sci-fi movie, but still better than what's out there
Starting this movie up I was expecting another cheap Asylum disaster flick. Thankfully it wasn't, it had better production values, better acting and a rather solid plot. The humor was just right, and all the actors provided a nice ensemble. Hope to see a sequel to see what happens next.
Beyond the Woods (2016)
It's not the sinkhole that stinks here people.
Is it a monster movie? Is it a movie about the gates of hell opening up?
I honestly dont know. Slow plot and a boring story made this a dull watch. And the ending was inconclusive.
Monsters of War (2021)
If it weren't for the atrocious acting it might have been fun.
I like low budget movies, I understand the CGI might not be great or the story might not be original, but what made me quit this movie was the acting, it was horrible. Sorry Mr. Director, but you need better actors.
Entity Project (2019)
Slow as frozen molasses, and just as scary
Yes I sat through the whole movie, and I know that most of the good stuff happens at the end, but nothing scary happens. I give it a 3 cuz 3 of the girls were hot looking. And zero for the movie itself.
Army of Frankensteins (2013)
I laughed, I cried, I want a fake moustache now.
I'm not gonna waste your time with the standard review of how laughably bad this movie is, but the costume person should have done a better job with the facial hair, it's the funniest part of the movie.
Virus Shark (2021)
My brain hurts!!
Things I recommend you do than watching this movie..
Stub your toe.
Bang your head on a low beam.
Tear off a long hangnail .
These are less painful options.
I cannot stress to you to avoid Virus Shark.
Virtually Dead (2014)
I Virtually almost died watching this
Very boring, subpar effects, and the standard very unlikable character you just want to die ASAP. And did I mention it was boring? Recommend you skip.
Mass Hysteria (2019)
A review from someone who did not have anything to do with the movie.
Well done! Quite a little surprise I found on Shudder today. Nicely acted by all involved, nice camerawork and lighting, well paced and just enough gore and humor to satisfy a one hour watch. Looking forwards to the directors next movie.
Gojira shingyura pointo (2021)
Confusing story, too much babbling.
I'm not sure what demographic they intended this series to be aimed at, it's too confusing for younger audiences, and not enough action to keep it interesting. The science talk is just too much out there to fully understand. The animation was just fine, but the story never quite answered all my questions. Hard to recommend for anyone who wants a monster show.
