Den sista resan (2024)
A movie full of joy and happiness
I didn't know what to expect from this movie. The film has been in the theaters for a while. The film will be Sweden's Oscar contribution to the Oscars in 2025. Normally I do not like Filip and Fredrik, they are very loud and rowdy on their shows on TV. Figured I'd at least give it a chance, so I'll went and checked it out. My God, what a surprise I got. A film that is so moving with so much joy, laughter, tears and pure emotional experience. Got completely warm in the heart. I am so glad I went and watched the movie. I'm afraid to repeat myself, but this movie is probably the best movie I've seen this year. Have seen so many good movies this year. 2024 is a successful year for film indeed. You feel happy in the soul to walk out of the cinema with a big smile on your face. Enjoy, laugh, cry and feel the joy after watching this movie. This experience was worth every second of the movie. Watch the movie now.
The Room Next Door (2024)
Almodovar - Master director
Almodovar has done it again. He is a genius at tackling sensitive topics that people struggle to talk about. Mostly taboo subjects that he covers in his films in a subtle way without it being offensive. He's a master at it really. His films always become something you talk about and discuss afterwards. I've been following Almodovar since his beginnings as a director and am completely enthralled every time I see his films. He was smart who took control of his works and started his own film company. The fact that this time he is making a film in English for the first time is not disturbing at all. Almodovar's essence remains in every frame of the film and is so wonderful. This movie is as brilliant as usual. I am just happy and can't say more than you must watch this movie and just enjoy every frame of this movie. Pure joy. ENJOY.
Keyke mahboobe man (2024)
Best movie so far this year
This movie is truly the best movie so far this year that I have seen. Brilliant acting, good dialogue and a very surprising film. I had a big smile on my face when I left the cinema. A film that will stay with me for a long time and I really recommend everyone to see it. Hope it gets Oscar nominations for "Best Picture", "Best Foreign Film" and "Best Actress". She really deserves it, she was amazingly good and she carried the movie through out. The movie deserves both of the Oscars aswell. The movie deserves every attention it can get. I hope as many people get to see this film. Just love this. See it now !!
The Estate (2022)
An embarrassingly bad movie
OK where to start? Why did I even watch the movie? I saw the cast and thought, OK Kathleen Turner, long time since I saw her in a movie, same with David Duchovny. Then I saw Toni Colette, one of my favorite actresses. Yipeeeeee, this could be good. I decided to watch the movie. It started out OK, but then it just went deeper and deeper downhill and landed rock hard flat at the bottom. How is it even possible to do that? Well, with an incredibly silly script, which someone in preschool could have written. Please don't watch it and Toni Colette, please run away from Hollywood. They use you only.
Crossing (2024)
This is a really fantastic movie
I saw this movie early this year on a preview. It just blew me now that I didn't do review on it. I hope is not to late. This movie is by far the best movie I've seen upon til now. So well played. So beautifully captured by the director. While the movie goes on you just want to know more and what is going to happend. Levan Akin- the director did also the beautiful fantastic move "And then we danced" equally as good as this one. He is really a fantastic director. Vibrant and tells the story so well and almost not using "real" actors, and yet they are so fantastic. I really recommend this movie.
Motståndaren (2023)
A fantastic moving movie
This movie have many layers. The move is an intense psychological drama that deals with masculinity, intimacy and violence, themes that have completely different meanings in a country like Iran than they do in a country like Sweden. After a devastating rumor spreads about him in Iran, Imam is forced to leave everything behind and start over in Sweden, together with his family. But his past refuses to let him go. This is a movie from the very talented director Milad Alami. He tells the story very beautifully and the cast is very good. Talented actors, especially Peyman Moaadi. I can really really this movie and I hope it gets the recognition the film so well deserves.
Triangle of Sadness (2022)
This is just a fantastic movie, see it.
This movie is so excellent, the thin line between seriousness, irony and humor. I love the irony and when the laugh gets stuck in the throat and you get a slap in the face the next moment. The sadness to laughter to seriousness, so many emotions, like an roller coaster. Ruben Östlund is such an brilliant director. The cast in the movie is so excellent and do their roles perfectly. The movie is 2 hours and 29 minutes long and it is well spent money. The movie leaves you with many thoughts about what an absurd world we actually live in. I really hope the wealthy part of our world would see this movie. Hopefully it gives them a little glimpse of the reality of our absurd world, if they can bring it into their reality and their little world that is of course. Just see the movie. I loved this movie.
Bad Moms (2016)
Must be the worst movie for decades
I just saw this movie on television and I'm surprised that the movieindustry spent money on this really really bad movie. I'm wondering who wrote this script? I'm surprised that it even came to the table and got financed with money at all. Such a waste of money. I think someone at kindergarten would do it better and then I mean the kids. Must be the worst movie of the decade. This is really a embarrassment for a movie. Who enjoys a movie like this? 1 hour and 34 minutes is stolen from my life. I'm that guy that once you started look at a movie, you watch it until the end. Such a waste of time I realized now. And the razzie award for the worst movie of the decade goes to Bad moms. Thank god I didn't spend any money to watch it.
Close (2022)
Fantastic movie
What a great movie. So well played by everyone and story told with such fine photo and sometimes in dead silence. I was so moved by the wonderful story and tears in my eyes almost throughout the movie and I was not the only one in the cinema. Enjoyed the movie so much. I have been in similar situatons several times. So I recognized the feelings and feel for the characters. This is pure value for money. I can highly recommend this movie. This is european movie as it's best. I hope people discover this movie, because the film should be seen by everyone. Thank you so much for this movie. Bravo!!!
Le bleu du caftan (2022)
Such a beautiful movie
I went see this movie 1 week ago and I'm totally amazed of the movie. The story is beautiful and the actors fantastic and I'm stunned how they delivered it so well and with such brilliance. The director is fantastic and told the story with utterly brilliance aswell. Without many words she tells the story with such amazing photo and close-ups. She is a fantastic director and should be more acknowledged. She is the future in movie and she will be famous. Mark my words. I was so moved by the movie, I cried twice and had my cry stucked in my throat throughout the movie. It is still stucked in my head, the experience I head when I saw this beautiful movie. Please see it and be amazed.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Can I get my money back?
Went to the cinema after the Oscar's to see the movie that won so many Oscar's. I didn't pay any attention to this movie before when it was at in the cinema last year. It came up again at the cinemas so I thought I give it a try. Boy was I wrong!!!! This movie was a total waste of time. Hollywood robbed my life from 2 hours and 19 minutes. Can I please get my money back ?!? Was the jury at the Academy of the Oscar on some drugs or did they actually see the movie? For me this is a big embarrassment really, they should be ashamed giving this movie any Oscar at all. Shame on you. I'm angry. Is there any refund of my money I spent on this rubbish?
Red State (2011)
I liked this movie....
This movie shows how insane things can be with so much legal weapons like they have in America. It's no wonder shootings in schools among other things happens so often over there. It's good to shine the light of these problems in a movie & hopefully makes people think. These issues (problems) should be talked about a lot more in press & media. It is not good with the laws in some states & you can own how many weapons you like. The calculation is simple more weapons = more violence ,murders, robberies & so on. This is a political matter & why not take the problems to the upcoming election in September & discuss the problems & maybe change some laws. That would be a good start to the problems, don't you think?
