Its a very balanced movie and it was entertaining as well.
it highlights the evil of dowry and the way it affects the marriage of every other girl.

Producer Fizza Ali Meerza and director Nabeel Qureshi team up yet again with a strong message and a powerful cast to deliver a highly watchable film with a convincing flavour of culture, emotion and authenticity.
Load Wedding is the story of Raja (Fahad Mustafa) from Nirali, a small town in Central Punjab, Pakistan, where he runs a wedding decoration shop. Raja has an over-weight sister, Farhana (Faiza Hasan) and as per tradition, he cannot get married before she does. Farhana or "Baby Baji" is refused proposals not just because of her weight but also because of the dowry demands of prospective in-laws. This is not the end of Raja's troubles as he has loved Meeru (Mehwish Hayat) since the two were children but life and circumstances prevent them from getting together. In the initial part, Raja cuts a sorry figure as he grapples with various problems, ranging from financial difficulties to coping with orthodox, small-town family values. The film is about his struggles to rise above these obstacles and win the girl he loves.

Watched #loadwedding movie in a housefull yesterday and trust me when I say that this @mehwishhayatofficial and @mustafafahad26 starrer is probably one of the best movies to come out of Pakistan's revived cinema. No cheap comedy, no Bollywood-inspired melodrama. Highly entertaining with an important social message! A special shout-out for the highly relatable script and a brilliant supporting cast. A must-watch! @geofilms_geo @loadwedding
PS: Every family who has a wedding coming up, please go and watch it. You might just do your kids and yourself a favour.

Story is the backbone of a film. The story of this movie was simple yet extraordinary. For the first time ever in the history of modern Pakistani cinema, a film highlighted issues faced by widows, the issue of dowry and the exploitation of people's emotions by the media and tv shows. Acting by Fahad Mustafa was amazing and after watching JPNA 2 and this movie, it made me a fan of him. Mehwish Hayat, like always, is a delight to watch on screen. Hayat's grace and acting skills have considerably enhanced over the years and she is one of the "real" film actresses of Pakistan. I hope she gets to do more movies in the future. Samina Ahmad as the mother played the typical desi mother and flawlessly portayed the character. However, Faiza Hassan as Baby Baji stole the show as she played a sister in distress who is not getting married on time and is fat-shamed most of the time.
Load Wedding takes you to a small Punjabi town of Narali. And for the first time, Punjabis were not stereotyped in any way by portaying them as loud, etc. Direction by Nabeel Qureshi and the storyline along with the cinematography was excellent. After Cake and Motorcycle Girl, this movie might also be a game changer for Pakistani Cinema. I hope this movie is a blockbuster on the box office as well.
Deserves a 10/10.

All in all the film was entertaining however the major issue with the movie was its plot which looked scattered followed by its storytelling from highlighting the widow marriage issue then summing it up abruptly & jumping towards the Dowry issue and in-between them a lengthy love story. Dowry was the main plot as movie states 'Load Wedding' but this plot only got intense in last 45mins making it very lengthy movie with the runtime of 2hours 15mins.
Performance wise Fahad Mustafa as innocent, responsible Son & Brother with lovable husband was right on target his climax monologue is something you should never miss supported well by Mehwish Hayat as his better half she looked beautiful. Qaiser Piya as the Honest Friend and the narrator of the movie nailed it totally. Fiaza Hassan as Baby Baaji & Noor ul Hassan as Mama were funny including Fahim Khan as Aashiq Bhai.

The acting, cinematography and direction was very good but it still could not add life to the dead story. We need to work on our script / story.
It was a master piece very strong story and conveyed in a good way and in good style it's very difficult to put comedy in a serious story

Nothing was good except Fahad Mustafa's performance. Very few fresh dialogues. There was no flow and movie was surely stretch., Too many (below average) songs made it difficult to stay focused. Characters were crying but you couldn't feel their pain. Supporting actors were there just to read their lines. Duration of Game Show in the second half was too long for a movie.

This movie was nothing but, perfection. The cast of the movie did a very good job especially, Mehwish Hayat and Faiza Hassan. Fahad Mustafa was good as well but, I feel like it is totally wrong for an actor to have two movies releasing on the same date which indeed affected the box office of this movie. Direction of the movie by Nabeel Qureshi was good as well as the story line by Fizza Ali Mirza. The songs were up to the mark as well except, they could have replaced Mohsin Abbas Haider as the singer of one of the songs as his voice did not sound good. I hope more movies like this one are made my Pakistani film makers.

Watched Load Wedding last night at Atrium. Was almost a full house. It was strategically an unwise decision to release this movie along side two other Pakistani movies. It is not doing good at the box office is not because of the quality of the movie. It is simply an outstanding movie. Fahad Qureshi is awesome. I dont think anyone else could have done the role better. Direction was sound and this is what to expect from Nabeel Qureshi. Nothing less. No loopholes. Great laughters. Baby baji did overact a little but didnt affect the movie too much.
Overall an outstanding movie. At par with Teefa in Trouble in terms of quality. Pakistani cinema is on the rise. Makes you feel like watching it all over again.
Keep making good movies guys and we will keep watching.

I didn't expect the movie so bizarre. The movie seem stretched in many occasions. Though the message of the movie was good but the movie didn't worth .

Released on Eed, Nabil Qureshi's 4th piece of entertainment is really loaded with comedy, romance, emotions; along with a lesson for a true tragedy of our society, the dowry and the negative and to some extent positive role of Media and certain media person who strangly but strongly affects most of our population in allmost every aspect.
Fahad's performence literally amazed me as a common man. His depiction of a Mohalla Ashiq with daily life issues and post marriage joint family dilemas reminded me of plenty people around me, going through the same.
Mehwish on the other hand portrayed a widow which is considered as an omen in our society. Her simplicity in the role of Neeru deserves applause.
The screenplay and the story, while watching you can actually relate it to your Mohalla, the closely constructed houses, the fields, houses with open halls, craze of pakistanis for certain Gameshows, will give you guys a glimpse of true Pakistan.
Well, its a fresh RomCom with a great passage that everyone should watch and everyone should learn.
As our industry Rose from the ashes,it is highly Recommened to every pakistani. Please watch and support.

I have watched quite a few of Nabeel Qureshi's movies and so far they've been a hit or miss. This movie shares similar features with Actor in Law, namely it is very unfocused, and it gives up well constructed plot and characters for the sake of being preachy. Being preachy is not a bad thing but when it is done at the expense of well written plot, it becomes pointless.
By being unfocused I mean it seems to have a dilemma on whether to talk about the MC's romance and what it entails, or his sister's wedding and the "Jahez". At the end it picks the latter.
Taking suicide so lightly and having a simplistic view of it is in bad taste.
Characters actions are arbitrary or they have facile reasons.
The romance element defines what generic is.
The tone shifts from melodrama to comedic relief quite frequently leaving me confused. In my opinion it would have been better if the movie kept the comedy element in its entirety and had made fun of absurd beliefs in the form of satire.
The way this movie started gave no indication of having potential and unfortunately at the end it remain true to that. I do like the message however, and there were some funny moments.

Great message behind it and credit goes to Nabeel Qureshi for projecting it in a good way. Although the film will not earn much because of it's limited release, but a great entertainer and a must watch.
