These votes and reviews are getting stupid now with people involved with the movie/series voting 10 and the trolls voting everything 1.
1st of all anyone who voted this 1 is either a troll or have only watched Disney movies before watching this. By rating it 1 it means the sound was so bad you could not hear any dialogue, the crew/mic boom ETC was in camera shot, you can hear the Director directing, the lighting was so bad you could not see anything, the script was immature and didn't make sense, the story didn't make sense, the actors were as wooden as door posts or over acted all the way through or the music was annoying/loud and/or out of place...yes I have seen movies like that...then you have valid reason's for voting this and other movies a 1 and only because you cannot vote 0. but this movie is not that bad.
You have to take into account...I know this is obvious but some people are so dumb you have to keep reminding them...that this is not high budget Hollywood movie with well known actors. The idea was OK, production was fine, script was lame and story was not thought through or well executed. The POV is not new even for this genre, some will find it annoying but i thought the idea is OK, however, whoever was using the POV camera was pretty useless. Walking around with hands out most of the time, when walking out of the house he was staring at other people instead of looking where danger was, in the car it seemed he was standing up and staring at driver instead of looking in the direction they are going and multiple times not looking where the action was.
There were other stupid things like the driver crashing for no reason, leaving good solid wooden doors open and just shutting the weak thin glass doors. The running and growling Zombies/Infected has been used many times and is fine, not all Zombie have to lumber along with arms out saying brains lol. There were parts of the script that were cringe worthy like when one of the characters shouts "They are coming back" and another replies "Where?" and she just stands there like a lemon with no reply like she wasn't given the rest of her script.
Anyway I won't tell you the story but I suggest you start the movie at 1 minute 14 seconds where the movie title comes up because the scene before that is a spoiler. There was a lot wrong with this but not anyway enough to give it a 1, I have seen a lot of movies in this genre...over 1500...and this is far from the worst but then again there are a lot of movies in this genre which are genuine 1 or 2 out of 10.
This could have been easily a 5 out of 10 but the script was the main let down along with POV camera operator, so I gave it a generous 4.

Of course I would sit down and watch "Eyes of the Dead" given the fact that it was a zombie movie. Oddly enough, I hadn't even heard of this 2015 movie from writer and director Ben Samuels before 2020, when I was presented with the opportunity to watch it.
Initially then I will say that "Eyes of the Dead" was off to an interesting start. But it was short-lived, the whole POV - Point of View - aspect of the movie, was fun at first as it had a zombie shooter game feel to it, but it quickly became tiring and annoying. And also the fact that the zombies were fast and agile runners that sounded like ferocious predators just didn't really work for me.
I will say, however, that "Eyes of the Dead" does have heart and spirit, and it shows that this is a project made by people with a genuine interest in the zombie genre. Just a shame that the movie was ruined by stuff that could have been avoided or changed.
As for the storyline, well you shouldn't expect that the writer and director is about to revolutionize the zombie genre. No, the storyline was pretty straight forward, generic actually, come to think of it.
The acting in the movie was good. I enjoy watching actors and actresses on the screen that I haven't seen before, and I must say that "Eyes of the Dead" definitely gave me an abundance of unfamiliar faces to behold. People were doing good enough jobs with their given roles and characters, despite having a mundane script working against them.
I am rating "Eyes of the Dead" a four out of ten stars, it was mostly the spirit and effort put into the movie that made me raise my initial rating of three to a four. While hardly an outstanding addition to the zombie genre, "Eyes of the Dead" is adequate enough for a single viewing.

....with the Blair Witch effect. It induces motion sickness. 10 minutes in I could see this wasn't going to let up. I stopped watching after that. You can have a great script, and a unique plot with marvelous actors doing their best work, I'm going to walk out if you use a hand held camera with images vibrating all over the screen.

Giving this a 1 star rating is perfectly acceptable if you hated the movie. The sound quality or any of that she mentions does not matter if you truly hated it.
Anyways.. this is regular amateur F grade crap like you often find in Amazon.

Ugh. First person view films deserve a special place in cinematic hell and this is no exception.
