OMG!!!!! Why Women Love was EVERYTHING!!!!! It's been so long since I thoroughly enjoyed a drama this much! It was the perfect fix, just what I was needing. It's to die for. Laugh out loud funny! I had so much second hand embarrassment, my face was permanently red! The situations the characters get into are hilarious. This show was such low angst, there are still some love rivals but you soon find out these encounters are more funny than threatening to our main leads. This was my first time with these leads and I'm hooked! Our Female lead was beautiful, smart, and very independent, she was a total boss! Loved her energy and how bad at love she was, it was refreshing. Our Male Lead was EVERYTHING!!! I'm seriously simping over him! I'm in Love, I have a new crush!!!! He was the Perfect Man! SO Swoon-worthy! It was so nice to see a young guy head over heels for a woman in such a healthy way. He really showed just how much he respected our FL and how he supported her, He had all the means of someone who could have easily been a "player or a villain" but his nature and his character was really something to brag about. Gahh. Him. This male lead is really setting the standards high! I highly recommend this drama. It was a very much a FEEL GOOD ROMANCE! You will be rooting for Jaxian with every episode!

This C-drama with relative newcomer Wang Ziyi was a delight to watch. He is stunning, with a physical presence you will relish. The role gives him an opportunity to show strength and tenderness. The female lead is radiant as the tough career woman. Their developing romance has none of the tropey drama that is a given in most K-dramas: no drunken FL that has to carried on the guy's back (repeatedly) or the vicious mother-in-law to be. The soundtrack is also good. Yes, it does take a bit too long (for Westerners) for the couple to be intimate; however, it is not a tortuous process to get there. Instead, you will laugh, cry and wish you were newly in love too.

What a fun and spicy little C-Drama! Definitely one of the better ones I've seen in recent years. I rate it 9.5 (rounded up to 10) stars.
While the plot starts out like a typical C-Drama, filled with plenty of the usual /unrealistic tropes (bad-boy, chebol heir working undercover at his parent's company, hardworking, staight-laced woman who brings him to heel, love rivals, overbearing parents, corporate crises, etc), that is as far as the "typical" bit goes. There is no drawn out angst, the love and corporate rivals are painted as human rather than evil, and the tit-for-tat exchanges between the ML and FL are evenly balanced, so the power doesn't feel one-sided (and OMG, his pranks...).
In addition, while the age gap is acknowledged as a concern, the FL doesn't spend all her screen time ob-stressing over it as is common in many age-gap romances (though you get the impression that maybe she worries off screen). And since the overall pacing is quite a bit faster than the usual C-Drama, the storytelling is also kept quite a bit lighter. And the little "candid interview" snippets at the end really add a whole new level of entertainment to the larger story!
On top of that, it is solid from a technical standpoint, with beautifully done cinematography, great acting by a gorgeous cast, and a lovely soundtrack which, though a tad repetitious, features some very emotional and memorable ballads.
ROMANCE RATING: * * * 10/10 It's rare to find a C-Romance that doesn't shy away from sexual tension /romantic contact, but this one delivers beautifully. Yes, it takes a while to get rolling, but once it hits (ep 19), you get all your payoff at once! WZY and JC have fantastic chemistry together, which translates as both adorable and hot (depending on the scene), with plenty of prolonged kissing scenes and some very exciting bedroom moments. It was refreshing to see a FL who isn't afraid to initiate or say what she wants (rather than wait for the guy to make all the first moves).
In short, if you are looking for a "fresh" or avant garde sort of film, this one might not do it for you. But if you are a romance junkie, this film is almost sure to tickle your fancy! Highly Recommended!

A drama of a senior lady & his assistant. The assistant is actually the son's owner who is leaning the business before taking over. They are both leads in the drama where they work together that their relationship gradually turns to love. Totally great chemistry together. The last few episodes are great! Their romance are so lovely, especially their kissing scenes so swoonworthy!
The leading younger assistant has a girl who clings to him all the time. She is childish, young & plain looking. She just doesn't know when to stop when her confession is rejected.
Comparing to the older general manager/leading lady that the assistant/leading guy in love with. She is really beautiful, elegant & soft spoken. She has been in love with her ex-boss for my years. He is also good looking man. He starts to develop feeling for the plain looking girl.
As usual in Asian drama, there's a twist of lies, deceit & betrayal.
There is a 3rd couple story, the husband staged his cheating to protect his wife from his trouble. That's a good storyline. True love. They 2 beautiful people & have chemistry together.
All in all a good romantic drama. Worth watching.
