This is a rare drama in that it really is an all-rounder: its entertaining, smart, funny, poignant, and creepy. It has a fantastic soundtrack that perfectly suits the story line, eerie cinematography that keeps you grounded in the material, and a smart, well written plot that comes full circle. Most (if not all) questions are answered by the end of the show, and even though many episodes focus on a single story line (i.e. Ghost of the week) the episodes never feel like filler and the show never gets boring. Jang Na-Ra and Jung Yong-Hwa were a great pair and I found the lack of annoying romantic subplots somewhat refreshing. Na Ra really shone at the end, her performance in the last episode was outstanding.

There is no romance and that's a first. This drama is a horror drama with comedy. It's really entertaining and fun to watch. Its storyline is simple but it never gets boring or cliché. It shows a new way of exorcising ghosts and they have done a good job at that. It also gives importance to the life of every character in the show. Overall, it's a simple show that you can watch without getting bored.

Lets be honest.
Korean television shows are 99% this: Two people who first don't like each other falls in love. The end.
This, is a different beast however.
The greatest part of this show is the smaller stories told in each episode. Regret, resentment, grief, Losing a loved one, losing a parent, losing a child.
And it hits you hard.
It's been a while since I've cried this much.
The actors are really really good. Everything about the production is top notch (for a television budget).
However the strength of the show is the television format. This would have made a good movie, but the longer runtime allows it to become something great. It allows it to tell not just one story, but multiple stories woven together as well as having a main story as it's core.
It's really really really well written and acted out brilliantly. Baek Hyun-joo as Chang Hwa-mo (the restaurant owner) gave one of the most believable performances I've ever seen.
The only reason I'm not giving this 10/10 is this: It's not long enough.
Unlike shows like 'The sopranos' that ran for over 6 season. This is a stand-alone single season with 16 episodes. That is still over 10 hours and probably one of the most rewarding binges I've sat through for a long time.
The first episode however is a little bit weak. So if you're reading all of the positive reviews here and start watching without feeling convinced. Do yourself a favor and keep watching, it gets better and better. And better.

This drama was wholesome. Although the plot was predictable, each episodes were interesting. From character building to storytelling- it was crisp and correctly paced.
I liked all the main characters. In Beom and his hyung definitely had a great chemistry - no wonder the PD praised these two and asked us to watch out for these two!
The side stories of all the ghosts featured were really fun to watch some were upsetting while some were creepy - as in how they were lead to their death.
The message that the drama wanted to deliver to audience I think it is very loud and clear if not in between atleast by the end of the drama.
The show has done justice to its title *Daebak real Estate/ Sell your haunted house* I'm glad they focused on the main plot that revolves around this buisness. It's surprising because many of the dramas with romance tag usually focuses only on romance these days the plot gets deviated to a love triangle 🤣 So this was definitely refreshing.
The acting was amazing.
Hong Ji Ah as a female lead was very bold, intelligent, Sensitive when required, straightforward, witty and sarcastic.
Usually the so called strong/savage female leads in few kdramas are insensitive things and hurting innocent people and also being obsessed with someone she/he likes or are seen forcing their feelings on that person but Hong Ji Ah stands out from this lot to modern description of savagery/strong woman. I'm glad they built characters with lot of thoughts and didn't rush anything in anyway.
In Beom on the other hard was that one person who made this drama a light hearted one - must say this must have been extremely hard for Young Hwa since he has to act as good as Na Ra. I'm glad he did that because he's definitely not sidelined. Everyone noticed how much he has improved over the years so this role is one of his best one so far. More powerful one as well since he had to potray alot of feelings in this drama
Subtle hints of romance was more than enough for me as it didn't kill the main plot so I'm glad I decided to watch this show.
New kdrama watchers will definitely enjoy this one.
However, if you're someone like me who has been watching kdramas for a decade then you might find it repetitive and have a difference of opinion. Nevertheless, I personally enjoyed it and loved it too Will miss this show and the cast. Their relationships were too pure to forget.

This supernatural Korean drama is centred on Hong Ji-ah, an exorcist and real estate agent who specialises in selling haunted properties, and Oh In-beom, a conman who persuades people that their properties are haunted to he can sell dubious equipment to them. Inevitably they meet on a job and she discovers that he is actually a psychic; somebody who can be possessed by a ghost so she can exorcise it. After her regular psychic is hurt she ends up working with Oh In-beom despite not approving of how he operated before they met. Early on in the series there are several individual spirits to be exorcised but as it progresses stories that started in the background become the centre of the story; these include finding out what happened many years before during an incident that led to the death of Hong Ji-ah's mother and Oh In-beom's uncle. There is also the problem of an unscrupulous developer who wants the neighbourhood cleared.
I thought this was a really enjoyable series. As is so often the case in Korean dramas there is a fair amount of comedy; this is amusing and mild; never getting in the way of the drama. The story plays out well with early episodes nicely introducing the key characters and showing how the exorcist and psychic work together to deal with the various ghosts. These ghosts are suitably creepy, especially the far more dangerous 'egg ghosts'; rare apparitions that cause numerous deaths in the areas they haunt and are almost impossible to exorcise. The special effects for these are pretty good. The cast is impressive; most obviously Jang Na-ra who plays Hong Ji-ah and Jung Yong-hwa as Oh In-beom. Overall I'd certainly recommend this to fans of supernatural dramas.
These comments are based on watching the series in Korean with English subtitles.

I like the actors, and I enjoyed it for a while, but grew tired of the repetition, the rarely changing expression on her face, and just tedium of the final episodes. I was glad when it finally ended, without a single thing in the final scene that wasn't already predictable. I'm happy others enjoyed it, because I like the actors, too; it just didn't do enough for me. There are too many other Korean dramas far superior.

Loved it alot.
One of the rarest kdramas that is interesting from the very very beginning to its end, doesn't seem to be too long. Yong Hwa and Nara's acting, CGI affects everything was awesome.

The effects and context maybe appear a little silly, but don't take it for granted.
The drama and the unfolding of stories are really nice, and very emotional.
The actors are good, and really committed to their roles.
The humor is nice and balanced, and the suspense and horror are really well done.
The scamms parts are smart touch in my opinion.
I'm finishing ep 2 and I'm really into it. I will finish it and give my final thoughts.
EDIT: The pacing became slow, but it's still a nice casual watch.

This series is fairly good with a solid story and an interesting theme. In the occult scene, this one can hold its own. The series also explore its own world while exploring past events that impacted the present of the main 2 characters. The story focuses more on the tragic story, exorcism and everything related to it. The romantic angle is kept to a minimum probably to create an extreme atmosphere of stress. If you are into such themes, this one will be a good one to watch.
No, it's not as bad as 6 stars, on premise. Butnwhat if the script had more of the business side of things instead of the ghost side?
But instead one can foresee the usual plot points.
That the scammer and the real ghost hunters works together complimentary to each other. And their fate and past are neatly tied together.
The intermittent cases all serves as plot point leading up to the final confrontation and reveal and resolve of their history. Nothing too exciting here.
To be fair, I really like the main lead actress here. Her air of melancholy, distain and almost direct sarcasm stands out for om the rest of the cast.

I am waiting for Season 2.
The series is very enjoyable to watch horror, thriller, love (about 5%) & comedy. Just try to start watching ep 1, it's more deeper interesting, more episodes you've watched.

It's super stupid , same flashback of past shown 100s of times, and slow..not thrilling. Well acted but there is no way to perform good in a bad script. Leads are stupid, thoughtless, idiotic. Their ideology doesn't make sense.

Specially in "Fated to Love You". She's a natural actress.
Here she displays another character. Thanks for choosing her to play the role.
The story is different from what I already saw and the effects are good too.

I don't know how the Koreans keep coming up with such original premises and make it work. A story of a exorcist who is haunted by her own mother's spirit. It is not horror in any sense but an interesting story and cast.
The lead actress is just kick-ass, great acting, good stunts, good looks ,a combination rare to see. The lead actor is very plain looking compare to the usual k-drama guys but works well for the role. The supporting cast is equally good except I thought the In-Beom uncle character really overacts in the few scenes he is there.
I have always found side comedy in K-Dramas disappointing and same here except they kept it to the bare minimum. I liked that they didn't pursue a romantic angle between the leads which would the ruined the odd tension they have. Hoping for a Season 2!

This drama so much fun and filled with perfect and meaningful stories, the actors more than perfect and the atmosphere so good you'll enjoy it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This drama is just like child story. And may be director also made it to watch with family. I mean this drama has not a single adult seen. You will not see-a single kiss or romantic scene in this drama. So if you are a hard core, cringe type romantic drama lover, than this is not for you. Truly, if you want a romantic drama than don't see this drama, you will just waste your 17-18h. Because in this drama is totally on exorcism. They just find out ghost and get rid from this ghost.
If i talk about the good side of this drama, then i also even don't now what good in this drama. Only good thing in this drama is just super beautiful lead actress. And watching her fighting scene was also attractive. I don't know was it a rom-com drama or other thing. But you can enjoy this drama with your kid also. Because there is not a single romance or kissing scene in this daram.
Now if i talk about bad side of this drama, i think this drama don't have too much bad side. Though, i feel like the story of this drama was not so good. But i think this drama is a thriller drama, this is why may be this story is like that. And story is little bit slow also.
If i comment about this drama in one sentence , i will say this drama is not too bad.
But if you are searching for good romantic drama with good story than this is not for you.

An exorcist who is a real estate agent deals with ghosts who prevent buildings meeting there retail value. She becomes involved with a con artist who without realising has psychic ability and may help her free her mother who has become a vengeful ghost and stays by her side. The exorcist is played by Jang Na-ra and the conman by Jung Yong-hwa who do a sterling job as do the superb supporting cast. The plot is clever where they deal with tragic ghosts who refuse to leave as they have unfinished business, there is also a storyline running through the series of the connection between the two leads and the death of her mother. An enjoyable well paced series which is worth a watch and will draw you in with the sad stories of some of the vengeful ghosts.

The storyline is not strong and actually lame. I thought it would be good as Hotel del luna, but apparently its so beneath it. It was good in the beginning but unfortunately i got boring instead.

Great binge worthy series with sub plots and twists to keep you hooked. Whilst it's ghostly subject is creepy and uses great special fx the subject of sudden loss and departure are also sensitively handled with some very moving scenes and fantastic acting. Great tension between the leading characters too.
For those of us not Korean it also provides an insight into a lifestyle, customs and beliefs otherwise unknown.
Fingers crossed for Season 2.

It was a ghost theme first got me into Korean TV series, enjoyed every minute of this, action, comedy and drama, liked all the characters in this but the lead actress Jang Na-ra made it special, storyline changed and evolved through 16 episodes, never a boring moment, usual good quality Korean sets, locations and effects, plenty of Korean food consumed)) a second season would be good if they can create some interesting stories (now all the main mysteries have been solved) I made quite a few predictions as the story unfolded but got them all wrong (which is a good thing)) nearly forgot to say the soundtracks really set the tone perfectly, watch this series.

Obvious low budget sets, but great use of it. I loved Jang Na-Ra's acting. It was almost empowering. Just enough twists and turns for one to enjoy. Oh not to forget. Interesting genre.
