Kate, a slightly prejudiced cafe owner in a small English seaside town, befriends her new customer, a sophisticated African doctor, Koji, who is waiting for his asylum application to be processed, and tempts him with a business proposal.
With Kate and Koji's undercover clinic in full swing, the last thing they need is a visit from Dr. Radwan. Medium keeps Koji calm, and Kate cooks up a surefire way to get back at an adversary.
After an accident in the cafe Kate is being sued. Harsh words spoken during the incident have generated a backlash online resulting in a huge loss of trade. However, Kate refuses to back down and Koji is reluctant to get involved owing to his asylum status.
