This week as we anticipate the Christmas season our thoughts go to our fondest memories of loved ones, activities, and traditions. Sharon is graciously sharing some of hers with us today.
Sharon's very special Christmas Memories and Traditions
The only tradition that we have stuck with is
The Dressing Balls
Sharon is no stranger to Hibiscus House
You may remember her wonderful Dressing/Stuffing Balls she shared with us here.
And
One Very Special Tradition
The Fresh Coconut Cake
Fresh Coconut Cake
The Fresh Coconut Cake tradition in our family
Started with my great aunts, possibly with the great-grandparents
My daddy kept the tradition going
Now, it is on me to continue
It's truly a labor of love because it's so involved. We have always left out cake for Santa, even when I was a child. My grandsons still leave out the cake.
My Bradford is the one that loves it the most. He starts at Thanksgiving putting the pressure on me to make The Fresh Coconut Cake.
I remember one year, my sweet daddy made one and dropped it coming out the door. He went right back inside and started another one.
Mine are getting good after much trial and error
But I still have never made one as delicious as my precious daddy's.
How wonderful is that?
Thank you Sharon for sharing these very special Christmas Memories with us today!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
