No one wants their life thrown into chaos. That is why a lot of people keep that threat under control, and are somehow capable of sustaining a house or structure that is already rotten....Keeping passion at bay or surrendering blindly to it - which of these two attitudes is the least destructive?

Nook readers, have you ever had a book you purchased become lost from your Nook? I'm looking for a book that I purchased two years ago. It isn't currently on my Nook or in the archives. The B&N customer service people are giving me a hard time about finding it :( Has anyone else had this problem?

So I just finished a book, rated it and shelved it (review to come later) Before leaving the edit screen a popup appeared asking me to recommend this book to other GR friends ~ I was given friend suggestions and for each friend the pop up said, "Because she likes romance" Um.... this isn't a romance book, I didn't label it as romance and I don't even have a romance shelf. Hrm.... Amazon?

I miss Goodreads.... summer vacations + extra shifts at work = no time for my favorite website :( And starting back to school next week means free time will be devoted to not-so-fun reading. Boo.

How does this author manage to leave me both emotionally wrecked and impatient for her next book? Good thing there is a long wait in between novels, because I need it, lol. Who will it be next, Ritchie? Quigley? Or someone entirely different??

As a nurse who also works the night shift, I can appreciate the long wait until an aggitated patient (who should be *sleeping*) can be medicated again.

Eight whole books behind on the challenge and no reading time in sight. The next time it rains on my day off I may just resort to reading a crap ton of childrens books to get this challenge back on track :/

Who else does great with the GR challenge until summer comes along? Suddenly there is no time for reading or Goodreads! :P Need some cloudy, rainy days to get caught up.

Who else manages to get super pissed off whenever they see Laura Buzo's "Good Oil" has an American title of "Love and Other Perishable Items" along with a totally not-cute cover? Yeah, this is old news. But it gets me everytime!

So... I'm behind on my GR challenge, and couldn't find anything from the tbr list currently available in audio at my library... how is it I can read all sorts of smut & urban fantasy & YA with pride, yet when it comes to chick lit I am suddenly so embarrassed and feel the need to explain myself? ;)

"Bubba was waiting at my back door when I pulled up." It's about time he showed up!!!! =) Sadly, his appearance was brief, but Bubba is my favorite character in this entire series. Who doesn't love The King?

Check the meter on the propane tank then spend $1.99 o a guage to check tire pressure youself. The woman can hold her own against the supernaturals but is apparently completely clueless & helpless when it comes to day to day life.

"Colin stalked past her without a word and jerked off his rather beaten-up jacket." Even the clothing gets a little lurvin' in this novel!

Is it just me, or is anyone else burnt out on trilogies and series and the like? Of course we want good series to go on and on... however, it seems as if every YA is now a trilogy (at least) and when browsing my TBR list, seeing that little #1 takes away all energy and excitement I may have otherwise felt about picking a book. Le sigh.
