it was amazing
I discovered V.C. Andrews way back in junior high. Suffice to say they left quite the impression on me. Although I enjoy the Flowers in the Attic series, there's something about the Casteel books that draws me in a bit more. Haven't read this in over 15 years or so. Quite a bit I forgot.

This book was chosen for book club and geez I hadn't read a mystery noir from the 1930s since....since a long time. What a time trip too, people drinking a lot in Prohibition era, staying out late...
