I've never read a book that needed to be shortened as desperately as The Enigma of Room 622. It has all the characters, plot twists, and suspense to engage a reader but is way too drawn out to ever come close to landing.

Amazing! A perfect sequel in almost every sense as it emulates the same structure and style of Stevenson's former novel but has some unique differences and new characters to meet. I really thought I was thinking five steps ahead for this book, but it turns out I was two steps behind during the absolute whirlwind of Ernest's final reveal.
