The main thing about the challenges is to enjoy reading so we are trying to make it so you read books you want. Eight books a month is our aim so any eight books will be amazing however we have decided to challenge you to the do the following if you are up for it

BOOK 1 -In honor of January being the first month of the year, we challenge you to read the first book on your to-read shelf or a book that consist of all ones (ex. 1, 11, 111, 1111),

BOOK 2- Read a book with either a holiday theme, that takes place in the winter, or with a predominantly white cover.

BOOK 3 - Read a book that was given to you as a gift, or a book that you've just recently purchased.

BOOK 4-Read a book with a j somewhere in the title or in the authors name.

BOOK 5 -Read a book with a character that saves lives (ex. doctor, cop, fire fighter, ect.)

BOOK 6 - Read a book by a author you have never tried before but have always wanted to.

BOOK 7 - read a book you keep meaning to read but still havent i.e one you bought ages ago.

Book 8 - ANYTHING YOU LIKE !!!

As I said abover reading 8 books a month is the aim, and I know as much as anyone if you are mid way through a series you are hooked on you may not want to pick out these thing, and thats fine. When I discover a series I love and I have the next book waiting on my coffee table the last thing on earth I am going to do is pick up some random book just because the authors name begins with a J. However when I am not mid way into a series its good to look through my bookshelves on here and discover another author I love! So if you read 8 books but they are not in the challenge, dont panic and still tell us you read your 8 as thats the main point.

Good luck guys !!

I tried reading Magic Bites a couple months ago and just couldn't get into it. I tried it again last week for a challenge and ended up loving it. But now I'm dying to finish the series because i want to know if Kate ends up with Curran.

message 9: by Sofia (new)

Sofia (sofiad) I have a question considering Book 4 we are supposed to read in Jan (the "J" book). Since I'm a Swede I read most books translated into Swedish (it's really hard to find a good English book here!), can I count it if there is a j in the Swedish title, or should it be the English one?
