Ivanka (bgmomiche) I'm from Bulgaria and I feel that there are a lot of unappreciated books. For example, one of my favorites: Под Игото or Under the Yolk!

(I have no idea how to link the books, so sorry)

Ivanka - thanks for your recommendation for a book set in Bulgaria Under the Yoke. You're right - I don't think there are many books we know about set in Bulgaria so it's great you mentioned it. Let us know about other books that you think we would appreciate as well. I actually have it on my to read list - I had to figure out the right edition.

To add a book, click on "add book/author" on the top of the comment book, then type in the name of the book and click "search" - that should give you a list of books or the book if you happen to know the exact title. Click on add for that book and the link should show show up in your comment box. You can also search by author. Give it a try.

Looking forward to some more Bulgarian recommendations!

Val Yes please let us know some more Bulgarian books Ivanka.
I read Elias Canetti's Auto Da Fé for Bulgaria, mainly because I already had a copy. The author was born there, but lived most of his life in Switzerland and wrote in German, so is not really a representative Bulgarian author.
