Enduring a soporiphic existence on the colony of Samsāra is a challenge made so much worse when you’re seventeen year old runaway from British Columbia looking for adventure. In the frozen wastes of the Serberor Campus and perched atop a choleric swaying tundra camel named Gomeda, Alexander “Sikunder” Armstrong fights the nausea of his noisome mode of travel and the penetrating cold as he patrols the dystopian wastes as a jawan soldier in the United Nations Off World Legion.

This is the second book in a series of memoirs from a retired jawan of the United Nations Off World Legion who joined as a youth, fleeing the comfort and tedium of his existence in 2098 – or as he characterized it, “in a fit of teenage pique” and was sent to the UN colony of Samsāra in orbit around Delta Pavonis, some twenty light years from Earth. A dumping ground for the downtrodden, the unwanted, and the forgotten, Samsāra with its nearly 100,000 Terrans and 250,000 Gliesiun refugees was a backwater hell – a technological and infrastructural wasteland where the tundra camel reined and a law-abiding and organized society was almost non-existent.

Join “Sikunder” as he rides with the prospector, Fremantle Freya, in her raid on the dreaded Tong gang, The Black Hand; plays a round of golf in the wastes with his decuria leader, MacShaka the Tartan Zulu; and helps Jagdeep Sanghera Singh try to capture a young prehistoric indricotherium so that the Legion can use it as a tank.

Clive Pinkerman, who hosts a late-night, radio conspiracy show, announces on-air that he is going to break into the genetic laboratory to uncover a massive alien conspiracy he believes is housed there. Suddenly, Rick must juggle his time between stopping Clive, and making sure the experiment works so that the temperamental Peres will not be displeased.”

When the moonlight strikes me, I am filled with power. In an evil age, in my darkest hour. Death and Destruction are the pleasures of my life. A lonely life filled with agony. Here I stand upon this Ledge with sword in hand I hereby pledge. That in the full moon's waning light. I shall make my Sacrifice. The Fog drifts down the hills into my dark domain. My senses sharp and I Insane. Into the woods I go with the moonlight as my guide. I now creep like the mist and from my wrath you can not hide. I shall avenge all I have lost.
