This is the 3rd book in the seris. We hear a mention of the main characters at the end, in the 1st book "Highlander's Hope". Though it is not nesscesary to have read the first 2 books. The story is well introduced. The character's are perfect and you will fall in love with them.

I absolutely loved this book! It is definitely my fav in the seris. Just love the main heroine, Adaira(Addy). She is vivacious, witty, bright, spunky and incredibly inteligent. She is not a prim, prissy young Lady. In fact she dresses in Breeches every chance she gets and raises fine strong horses. Dressed in this fashion is when she meets the Earl of Clarendon(Roark Marquadt) only he does not announce that he's the Earl and she mistakes him for his younger, evil brother Edgar. Because of this and Addy wanting to protect her brothers wife, she kidnaps the Earl and throws him in the dungeon of her brothers castle. Of course she has good intention and tries not to mistreat him. Anyway as you can imagine all hell breaks loose when the truth comes out and now Adaira has to pay a price. The price is at the Earls Choosing. The journey and romance is full of trials and some seedy characters which make things just a little difficult. You will love the journey and the hero and herione are soooo lovable and I just couldn't put the book down. Definitely a must read for the summer or anytime. Best book in the seris.
