it was amazing
bookshelves: halloween

A haunting can be many things, and in this case it's a haunting of one's own broken promises and shirked responsibilities as much as it is a ghost.

There are some truly haunting visuals in this, but some of the scariest parts are the dangers of misassigned trust, the implicit violence of arranged marriage and what some women choose to do to avoid it, and our capacity to betray ourselves and those we loved/love.

A great story of betrayal and supernatural comeuppance that feels right out of the Twilight Zone!
