OMG. This is cringey bad! I listened to (or tried to) the audio, and that might have made it worse because of the obviously creepy way the reader makes Mr. Bennet sound. I honestly couldn't finish it, even after speeding it up to 1.5.

I have to wonder if McFadden consulted a teacher while writing this?! I am going with no, not one. Most teachers
1. don't wear fuckme stilettos. If she can't walk across a parking lot, she's not teaching in them.
2. can't afford designer shoes even if they teach summer school for Huck's sake.
3. can't excuse a student from school.
4. can't/wouldn't deduct 10 points from a student's average for an unexcused absence.
5. don't find children attractive.
6. see EAP as a literary genius.

How did anyone manage to keep reading it, let alone like it?! I thought I liked FMcF, but this tripe leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm questioning the judgement of a lot of Goodreads members FR.
