it was amazing

Really loved this second Sidney Chambers instalment !! The characters feel really real and the short story structure ensures that the mysteries don't get stale. I liked how this one really focused on Sidney's personal life and who he would end up with - Amanda or Hildegard. It was kinda sad at times how long it took Sidney to clue into things about his romantic life but I think what's likeable about Sidney is how human he is despite being a vicar; he has a lot of, mostly forgivable, flaws. The first and the last two stories were my favourite! Having recently travelled to Cambridge, the setting felt very real and I got excited every time it said Sidney and Geordie met at The Eagle where I had dinner!
