Book 4 of the Eagles of Mercia Chronicles and the hero for this book is Icel in AD831. He knows little of his parentage but knows he has a destiny to follow.
He is a healer and a warrior and together with his friends sets off to try and rescue Lord Coelwulf from the Vikings and held in Wessex. Not an easy task to accomplish and lots of fighting to take place.
Really enjoyed this book, full of action and adventure. Will not spoil the outcome but there will be revelations.
