seojun and jugyeong's relationship as romantic partners begun!
i'm team seojun ever since 2018 so i was fleeting joyfully over the moon when seojun finally confessed to jugyeong in this volume, that he didn't wanna hold back anymore. even though i knew suho would return one day and turn the story once more to have jugyeong back (it's obvious that suhoxjugyeong was the end game with how the author focused on their relationship first in the beginning of the story), i still felt swoony over this relationship, tho. i love seojun with all my heart <3
however, there was an obvious miscommunication between seojun and jugyeong, just because both of them didn't want to worry each other. take seojun's case for example: the man worked like three jobs every day (without jugyeong knowing) because that's how he was, a responsible and caring son, brother, and boyfriend. he worked hard because he was actually the provider for his family, and that he also wanted to give jugyeong the best he could. BUT...jugyeong didn't know about this part of seojun. it was quite saddening they didn't know how to confide yet to each other. later on, seojun decided to pursue his dream of becoming a singer, and so they actually lost contact most of the time because seojun had to train.
jugyeong, on the other, had not yet revealed his bare face to seojun, which was quite irritating to me, because i knew seojun would still love and adore her, that seojun wasn't someone who would throw away their relationship just because jugyeong 'isn't pretty,' that it wouldn't matter to him anyway, like, DUDE, COME ON!!! JUGYEONG WAS HIS FIRST LOVE (later revealed in future volumes). the problem was jugyeong's self-esteem (which was understandable), but it seemed like she also didn't trust seojun enough for that matter and it was sad how she thought she was the only one between them who was actually in love; she once doubted seojun's love for him when seojun only did was love her in all the ways he could.
additionally, it bothered me a lot how jugyeong did nothing but to wait for seojun's calls or messages every time and would get really affected when seojun doesn't respond quickly. *sounding way too biased for seojun** lol
