WOW. First of all, why have I not taught my youngest child to read yet? I'm sitting here, innocently trying to read this book, and she wants me to read to HER!! Argh! Here's the secret: read one chapter of this to yourself, then read one of her books. Repeat as needed.

Anyway, I think this series is my favorite of the ones I've read by Morgan Busse. I love how this book picks up exactly where Secrets in the Mist left off.

I read this book in one day (even with small-child book breaks), and had to start taking breaks toward the end of it for 2 reasons: 1, I didn't want this book to end, and 2, it was so intense and my heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest!

Excellent, EXCELLENT duology. You will definitely want to read Secrets in the Mist before this one, so go read it now and then grab Blood Secrets as soon as it comes out. You'll thank me later.
