really liked it

bookshelves: novel, western-canon, old-etonian

I heard some teenagers on the train complaining about having to read this book in English, and how it was 'boring'. I could barely contain my splutters at the irony. How easily will we walk into the trap of totalitarianism if the boot stamping on the human face can dress up dissent as 'boring'.
