Short and cute

It was a short story (something I didn’t know going in- I really wish authors would make readers aware of this fact before going in on a story).

Since I was unaware of this fact, I was confused by the pacing and thought everything was too rushed. I started wondering why everything was progressing so quickly, but my questions were answered once I completed and realised that it’s a short story. That saved me so much heartache.

It’s a cute story with adorable characters that have a sweet ‘meet cute story.’ I mean, who doesn’t want to meet their soulmate in a bookstore?

The characters were good but felt lacking and very 2D. Yes, I’m aware that it’s a short dirty story, but neither characters leapt off the page to be. They were both kind of forgettable.

Overall, the story was simple, digestible and a lovely read for someone looking to read a saccharine, albeit kind of far fetched, story before bed.
