** spoiler alert ** Very interesting introduction to a topic that is something that seemingly most professionals in the areas adjacent to it would not want to deal with and yet has such broad reach. This introduction distinguishes Forensic Psychology from other disciplines. In doing so demarcates what it isn't and what it is. What it isn't very much overlaps with more general psychology or insights from criminology and legal studies or areas that go into the criminal justice system. At the same time explores things from expert juries and rehabilitation villages which goes well beyond normal psychology or the usual academic interests in criminal justice and recidivism. This is a nice introduction giving a whistlestop tour of what seems to be a continually developing area of profession.

Having said all that the subject matter isn't the easiest. This isn't something to read casually.
