The writing is great and I enjoyed reading about the tender relationship between Patroclus and Achilles, but I'm not a fan of Greek mythology and thus couldn't care enough for the story unfortunately (especially since it gets so slow-paced during the war). I dig the ending though for the drama!

i already have a hunch that you're going to feel meh about this because i think you've mentioned in a video before that you don't care much for greek mythology lmaobut anyway i hope that in some way you still enjoy it or idk...
really excited to see what you think about this one. I've only heard raving reviews and that it's "mentally traumatising" which I obviously adore but im scared my expectations are too high :3

I think you made a good point in your video about ppl recommending you stuff THEY like instead of what they think YOU will like … as someone who’s been watching you for a while I could 100 percent have predicted you wouldn’t love this book lol

So much agreement when it comes to people recommending things *they* like, not things *you* would like. Sometimes I see a book come up on your Currently Reading and I just know you are going to hate it! This book is an example of something that I hear and believe that other people love, but I know I would not enjoy at all. . .
