did not like it

This has gotten fantastic reviews, but I think it's horribly overwritten. In addition, the only people reading this, as far as I can tell, are librarians. I've talked three teens into checking it out, and the farthest any of them made was halfway through.

Rushda It wasn't written in a way that was engaging for young people at all. As a teenager, I wouldn't say anything about this book appealed to me.


Nicole Bueckert It seems I am the only teenager who actually enjoyed this book. I agree that the constant rape was a bit much, however I do think it had beautiful symbolism and lessons in it as well.
