So far very happy with the series! The characters could be a bit more explored and a few other minor details bug me, but anything else is good. It's not a typical story, and I love the mix of male/female characters that seem so plausible in the situation. It's so nice to not have any of the two extremes we usually see:
1: men are heroes and women are to be saved and sexy
2: women rule and men are just there to see the show and not contribute

Highly recommend this is a good all round fantasy YA.
