If you never read a Batman graphic novel.....start with The Dark Night....then read this if you want to know one of the 'origins of the Joker' stories. While you still do not know his name, the reason that he is insane becomes depressingly apparent. It is an incredible look into the madness of the Joker and Batman's attempt to reconcile before they kill each other.
