it was amazing

What can I say, it's Shari Tapscott, and so far I have loved every fantasy story I have read by her. This series is no exception.

This story is darker and has a bit more angst in it than her previous series, but it's one that I just don't want to put down.

Rhys has yet to tell Amalia that he is a prince of Draegan, she still thinks that he is a commander of her countries knights (knights she didn't even know her country had!). Amalia finds out that her twin brother is alive and has been taken captive to Draegan and she wants to go and save him. Rhys still has to get Amalia to Draegan to marry his brother, but he has fallen in love with Amalia and he doesn't want his brother and father to use her to overthrow her country - so he marries her secretly. Not the marriage that Amalia was hoping for though. When they get to Draegan everything falls apart - then we wait for the next book! Ugh!

The story switches back and forth between Rhys and Amalia and their twins Cassia (Rhys' twin) and Bradon (Amalia's twin - not sure about the spelling of his name since I listened to the story). What a nice guy Bradon is! Cassia is also very sweet and tries to help him as much as her brother and father will allow - well, even more than that using the hidden passageways in the palace!

This is a clean read.
