This is promising to be a very good series. I am not at all familiar with the tv series, but I really enjoyed the writing, the characters, and the imagined universe. There were a few times where the story felt a little bogged down, but overall it was a great ride. I was not familiar with the genre of Space Opera, but this definitely qualifies, lol. By the time I got to the end (before the epilogue), I could picture Eros slowly moving along to dramatic music as the characters made dramatic decisions and the visuals moving to slo-mo, heh heh. I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.
