It's not the current world-affairs that made me not enjoy this book honestly; it's the book itself. I was hoping for an actionpacked thriller and would have honestly been fine with a bit of a B-movie/guilty pleasure vibe. Unfortunately, this was more of an F-movie...
All the clichés you can imagine were in here, the characters were as flat as cartboard which meant I couldn't get engaged with their story at all, and "the bad-guy" was the most ridiculous cartoon-villain imaginable. Not an enjoyable time for me...
