really liked it

Karen Pirie is a police inspector in charge of cold cases. There are two investigations going on here: one involving a miner who went missing during the miner's strike in the 1980's and another about a kidnapping of an heiress and her son around the same time.
Could they be connected?
Really good story from Val McDermid.
