Shanna Clarke accepts an invitation from her boss, Mr. Barstow, CEO of Talbot, to join him in a hunting party in the woods, thinking she’s up for a promotion. But just then things get weird. Suddenly, her boss starts shooting at her but she manages to escape with minor scrapes.

At the same time, Jace Lantry hears the gunshots coming from the mountains and sights Shanna running towards his cabin.

When Jace learns about the incident in the woods, he realizes he has to protect Shanna.
