** spoiler alert ** This mystery seemed a bit messy and the killer was too obvious. Also, overall, everything felt gritty, meaning sleazy. Agatha’s life is always on the edge, but this book was blah. I wonder if MC Beaton has no hope in human nature? Everyone is rude and gruff in the book. I’ll keep reading the series, but I hope she marries Charles and they settle down.
