Leviathan Wakes (The Expanse, #1)

This sure is a page-turner, equal parts world-building and high adventure.
The co-authors do a proper job of creating a plausible future in which humanity has colonized the solar system without resorting to too much "magical" future tech (no hyperdrive on display just yet) and taking a sincere and sober look at how generations of humans being born and growing up in low-gravity may look and feel compared to their "earther" cousins.
The P.O.V. writing is, much like in George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire", tough to keep up with at times but it's worth the slog. Definitely recommend it.
